Program Model & Services

Caring Collective operates a transitional living model that provides up to 24 months of housing and services, similar in philosophy to evidence-based programs such as STEP UP, Pivot, and many others while tailored to the specific needs of central Oklahoma communities.

  • Private or semi-private rooms with shared common areas
  • Sliding-scale rent set at 0–30% of participant income, capped at a modest flat rate
  • Housing stability combined with structured expectations


  • Individualized case management
  • Health and Dental use and referrals via Community Health OK
  • Mental health and substance use referrals via Gateway Prevention
  • Prevention and education services through Gateway Prevention
  • Career and Transition planning with GCTC, Pepelwerk and other partners


  • Budgeting and financial literacy, through Bridges out of Poverty and mentor coaches
  • Cooking, nutrition, and household management through volunteer programs
  • Conflict resolution and anger management through Gateway and other partner
  • Health education and personal responsibility through Community Health OK and other partners


  • Resume building and interview preparation
  • Job placement and internship partnerships through GCTC
  • GED completion, CareerTech enrollment, and college support
  • Collaboration with workforce boards, CareerTech centers, and higher education institutions


  • Weekly mentoring or case management meetings
  • Required community service projects
  • Peer accountability through resident meetings
  • Optional faith-based activities and counseling


Participant Eligibility & Program Structure

  • Ages 18–25
  • No parental or family financial support
  • Experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness
  • Willingness to comply with program rules and expectations


  • Maximum of 24 months or until age 25, whichever comes first


  • Participation in education, employment, or life skills programming
  • Minimum engagement hours weekly based on employment status
  • Substance-free and violence-free living environment
  • Monthly goal tracking and progress reviews


  • Required transition plan beginning six months prior to exit
  • Support in securing permanent housing, employment, or continued education
  • Potential step-down housing options through partners such as St. Gregory’s
